Its a really hard debate to win..with almost every good argument you can think of, there is a better one for the side of books..but I think a good one is the fact that with TV, news can be spread instantly..while on news paper or books..it takes days…also the news can be communicated fasters..as in it takes alot longer to read the latest breaking news than it does to hear it on TV

Well just think of the good that has come from TVs. A good debater will think of the negatives too so they can be ready to defend them.

– Emerangy broadcast: Without this more people would die

– Better for the economy: Research the amount of money made by TV’s vs Books. Also keep in mind all the advertisements that help other companies. Since you are the government this will be important.

– Easier and faster to broadcast a message to a larger amount of people

– Just do a quick servey here on Yahoo answers…Ask what people perfer the TV or a Book and why. This will let you know if the TV is favoured, which can also help.

Not that I agree, but you may argue that the action, and the story is better remembered if both seen and heard rather than just reading it in a book. Psychologists state that we remember 80% of what we hear and the percentages are high also on what we see, We do tend to forget details wehn reading. Does this help?

tv can show lots of visual info which books seldom provide-this enhance the learning experience. we learn better with visual, sound words.(we sometimes can phone them if we don’t und. but this seldom happen)
