Tutoring rates…?

I am a 9th grader and I am going to start tutoring a 6th grader 3 times a week for an hour a day. What would a reasonable rate be? Thank you!

As a college tutor, I charge $10 to $12 an hour.

I think that as a 9th grader tutoring a 6th grader, that $7 is an appropriate rate.

Ask for 10-15 an hour. Find out the rates here: http://www.tuitionplaza.com/tutoring/

Being a 9th grader, I would say no more than $20 per week.

i’ve got confidence $7 – $10 is right. Ask the family members what they’re guard with first. in the event that they propose some element it incredibly is diminish than you alter into hoping, ask to re-examine your fee at a later time. If the pupil has greater, grades bypass up, and distinctive others…you will possibly request a “enhance”.

I think $7 – $10 is appropriate. Ask the family what they are comfortable with first. If they suggest something that is lower than you hoped, ask to reassess your fee at a later time. If the student has improved, grades go up, etc…you could request a “raise”.

Call some professional tutorial facilities in your area and find out their rates. From that rate, deduct at least $10.00/hr. from that rate since you are a non-professional. Keep it affordable and reasonable. With good pricing and feedback, you will have more work than you can handle if you continue with it.

At your age and considering this will be part time, I would suggest starting at minimum wage. Then raise your rate when school starts because your time will be more valuable due to your own school work needs and other school activities.
