Wayyy true! I worked in the real estate industry and was frequently the first to have contact with a customer or “lead”. I found that by just including my perceptions in the notes in the lead information, agents would have the ability to more quickly ascertain a customers needs and even how to approach them. Some customers are straight forward and know what they want and don’t need any warm and fuzzy stuff; others are more needy and must be spoon fed. It’s very helpful for service providers to know this and since customer service departments are so huge now, customers rarely have the benefit of dealing with a particular CSR more than once. At least if there is information in the customer profile, any CSR can quickly scan the information to cue him/her what they are dealing with. Huge benefit!
