False. Motivation is self-started. I cannot motivate you; I can only set up a situation where you decide to do it.

False – that is a very specific definition. Motivation is the drive of getting something accomplished. Sometimes it can be that you motivate something to be done because you need results. Other times it’s you motivate yourself for further advancement; not that it’s necessary but desireable.

Completely false- motivation is not a process or an action; it is an emotion- the determination on your own part to work hard and do things for yourself, not to get others to do your work for you.

it is true in a way. However the motivations isn’t always an act by one onto others. It can be self motivation.

That sounds more like manipulation (ie a win for you but not really for anyone else). True motivation gets the job done and then remains to energize the next piece of work, without your having to intervene.

False
selfishness is what you are talking about,
motivation is mostly encouraging people you care about to do what is possibly best for them, you are an outsider who has nothing to gain!
