transferring from CSU to UC?
is transferring from a CSU to a UC really that difficult? what is the exceptance rate of transfers? My friends tell me it’s next to impossible to transfer from a csu to a uc after two years. i didnt want to go to a community. Is it really that difficult even if your grades good?

It’s difficult but not impossible. UCs don’t publish the transfer rates from CSU to UC, but there is a published combined transfer rate of “four-year college/other” to each UC campus which includes applicants from CSU, other four-year colleges, and international schools here: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/educators/counselors/resources/materials/A4T.pdf on page 6.
Compared to California community colleges, the transfer rate from four-year colleges is significantly lower. But if you have excellent grades and meet all other requirements, you should have a shot at the UCs.

Why exactly wouldn’t she be able to transfer to a UC from a CSU? Just because they are two separate school systems does not mean they are outright against each other. She would have to look up the transfer requirements and whatnot, but it would be possible.
