I was woundering if this is a good thesis statement. The subject of the paper is “Are you for or against needle exchange program”. The thesis is “with the recent rise of aids with needles, we should outlaw the needle exchange program which would encourage drug use, law enforcement problems, and community problems. “

I was taught you should try not to add details into a thesis statement. You are saying how it could encourage drug use, law enforcement problems, and community problems. You may want to say we should outlaw the needle exchange program, which could cause many problems. Then you could have a paragraph explaining each of the 3 problems you listed.
