No, but I’ve heard people say that. They just didn’t know what the correct word was. They may not have seen it in print. Some people just pronouce it that way, too, even though they know the correct word. Sort of like animal – aminal.

Icon, I hope you won’t be “baring” rude people – that might punish the rest of us. You might consider “barring” them instead.

That sentence seems inaccurate. You would want to ban them, not band them. The terms are not synonymous.

Band: to unite

Ban: to prohibit, forbid, or bar

Banding means to bring things together (i.e. a marching band) so no baring would be a better word
