teaching typing…?

If you end up buying a computer program, Jumpstart Kids is a really good program. Otherwise, first teach him where to start off with his hands on the keyboard. Have him practice asdfjkl and the ; key first. Then, have him practice typing words with the home keys (asdf…) (lad, sad, dad, sal,…) Gradually teach him the other keys. Teach him the correct posture also. Good luck!

(BTW: with these tips, I have learned to type 60wpm+ -words per minutes)

Get the program Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. It is an excellent program that teaches you how to type, how to work on accuracy, how to gain wpm(words per minute) and it rewards the typer occasionally with a game if they score good. I learned on this program from the time i was in third grade to 5th grade and i know how to type very well!

really you can just google “learning to type” or something like that online and you’ll find something…

you can try looking at maybe a computer type store “best buy” “micro center” maybe i don’t know what’s closest to you…but if anything you can ask a worker there and see if they know anything about where you could buy a covering…

as far as teaching kids to type i don’t think you’d get anywhere…too much software out right now and really you wouldn’t be doing much but sitting there and watching and i don’t think people are going to pay you for that..
