summer reading??

a literary device is a destinqintive technique used to brighten and specify literature… in terms that I understand…its those parts in the books you read that can get a picture in your head or sometimes make you laugh…something that helps you get the picture… for example…’As I walked outside in the BOILING heat.. little droplets of sweat formed on my upper lip. It was so hot outside that I could fry an egg on the sidewalk.’

Similes, metaphors, firgures of speech, Even something like this is a literary device….’I heard the nice coming closer and closer….BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOOOOM!! My dad walked in in his work boots and told me goodnight’

The noises you add are also literary devices to help the reader understand the surrounds, the feeling of the character, and to set up suspense and action.
