simplify -9?

Is there more to this question? 9 as written is already simplified but if you are suppose to be writing it in a different form than work can be done. It depends on what math you are doing for example if you are suppose to be squarerooting than the answer would be 3. If 9 is a numerator of a fraction than you would simply divide it by the denominator. Once more it all dpends on what you are suppose to be doing….if the directions just say to simplify and 9 is all you were given than 9 is already in its simplest form.
