Should the school require students to go to the school’s games (basketball, voleyball, dance, etc.)?

the games are on saturdays and also, it has payment. plus, there are different venues, which can be anywhere….

if yes/no, why? please give ur opinions, in badly need it for our debate…..thanks so much!!! =)

no. and here is why (btw what debate is this??!)

-it takes away from time when the students SHOULD be studying

-there will be some type of punishment for a student not being able to attend, which could be for obvious reasons

-it isn’t necessary (sure it would raise support and school spirit) but mandetory school spirit sort of defeats the purpose. who’s going to want to cheer for a school or go to a dance if they HAVE to

-the weekends should be the childs time to spend their day with their family, in no ways should they be REQUIRED to spend that at school events

-the school will be over stepping their authority BE A LOT
