Yes. Research in several studies indicate that a later start time allowing for more sleep is beneficial to students. See the link below for a website that pulls some of the best sources together.

I like having school start early. It starts regularly at 7:30, but my first hour (an optional class before school, for credit) is at 6:30. The earlier it starts, the better because you have more time in the afternoon for fun.

School should start at 5 or 6 so kids can get used to school starting with Kindergarten where they only have to go half days, or every other day.

ok im still a student..Now I will wake up at 5:30 am to get dress for school, to take a bath, eat and then brush my teeth…i finished doing this things like 6:10 my school bus will pick me up at 6:20 am or so…When i get to school in 7:00 am I talk to my friends(classmates)..when the teacher will come in we will pray in 7:10 am….So my point is yes…Kids should wake up early to go to school….i’ve been doing this since 1st Grade…Kids should also do this to Monday to Friday…So that they will you to do this….Make sure that they will sleep early… 😉

Yeah. Every morning, I have to wake up extremely early just to take the bus and I’m never aware in the first few periods, which thus decreases my productivity rate.

Yes, 7 is ridiculously early! College classes and work don’t even start that early.

Yeah, I don’t think kids should be pressured too much.

I mean 7:am not 7:00pm
