Should public libraries be visited by secret shoppers??
I find many people who are happy with the way they are treated in a library, but not everyone. Sometimes it is hard to judge who didn’t go far enough to help someone as opposed to those who had someone who could not be helped.
What would the best way be to checkout if our library is doing a good job or not? Have you had a good or bad experience in a public library?

I think they should have secret shoppers. Most people at the library are very helpful but not everyone. I quit going to one library because one of the women was nasty to everyone with kids. It did not matter if the kid was behaving or not. I honestly think she hated children.

A local library always treats me like I’m a leper when I go to it, so I don’t go back. Want to know the sad thing about that? That’s all I ever did from age two to age 18. Go to the library and check out tons of books to read. Even used to be in library organizations and volunteer in libraries. But the local one where I live now and the one at the county seat where I live now employs people who they know and some who don’t even like books or writing or the arts.

Some libraries actually are – one of the things that library students do in some universities is to visit their local library incognito and see how they’re treated.
I like to think that if someone told me I could be doing something better, I would do it.
