Should I sent my son to a charter type school?
My son is petty smart and needs to be challanged more. Some people recommend that I put him in a charter school when he gets into the 7th grade. He would go until at least 9th grade. The school I was looking into has 10 hour schools day. School starts at 7:30 am and extends until 5:30 pm. They have 1.5 hours PE and classes like fine arts, computer…
They also have a required summer session that last for a month and a half. There will be lots of fields trips and other educational activities. I’m a little worried it might be too much school, but at the same time it works well with our work schedule. I will of course leave it up to him, but once he chooses I will not let him switch until the next year. Anyones child go to one?

You need to be careful with this-some charters are good, but many are for profit companies just in it for the money. They look great on the outside, but have little substance. Also, most use non-union teachers, who may or not be, certified.
