It’s decent English, and implies that you intend to spend some time at the beach or in a tanning salon to get a bit darker.

If the question is, “What’s the quickest way to increase my chances of skin cancer?” then yes, it is. Grammatically, it’s just fine; just capitalize the ‘i’.

p.s. In response to the third answerer, I know people who actively work on their tans. They go to the store and buy baby oil, choose an appropriate suit, turn every fifteen minutes or so while they’re lying out…

No…the person who says it doesn’t do any work on it…the sun does…but I suppose it is a long-used expression…
