pre-Med School Story…?

I am a enginnering student at Temple U , i was planning to go into my 2nd year, but do to finacial problems i have to drop out and go to a community college for 1 year. I then plan to go to stony brook to finish off my degree in biomedical enginnering. My freshman gpa was 2.8 if i go to the Community College and get a 3.9 and maintain that at stony brook, do i still have a chance at med school?

It would be helpful if you could add some additional details. My uncle is a doctor so I know a little about the admissions (but not a lot) – the BEST advice I can give you is to ask your counselor/adviser.

But, a 2.8 GPA is very low for someone planning to go to med school. The average med school student averages a 3.5 throughout undergraduate school, but if you test well, then you can maybe get accepted.
