using dimensional analysis, convert days to seconds and inches to nanometers. take note that the length unit must be found in the numerator, the time unit in the denominator:
(1/32 in/day) (1 day/24 hrs) (1 hr/60 mins) (1 min/60 secs) (2.54 cm/1 in) (10 mm/1 cm) (1000 micro-m/1 mm) (1000 nm/1 micro-m) = 9.19 nanometers/second
