As for lockers, I would buy a combination lock now (I don’t know if you have to suply your own at your school or not, but it is good to have so you can learn to open it).
As for being away from your friends, I wouldn’t worry about that. You will probably have at least one person you know in every class. If you get to pick seats, pick some one who looks friendly to sit beside. Most of the kids will be in the same boat. Hopefully, the teacher will assign them so you won’t have that issue. Try to make time to hang out with your friends abotu twice a month outside of school so you can stay tight.
About the make up- don’t gob it on for your first day. I didn’t wear make up until 7th grade. I still don’t wear it every day. If your skin is clear and nice looking, don’t wear a lot of foundation. Just make it look natural. You clothes for the first day should be school appropriate and not too low-cut. You don’t want to give any one a bad impression.
As for homework, do it in a quiet location. You should have a lot more than elementary school (not the first day though). Don’t do it in front of the TV. Pay attention in class and take good notes. Study a little bit each night so you will remember it. For the first test, study hard until you know how that teacher makes his/her tests.
Good luck and email me if you have any questions
