I went to a private school (non religious) and I teach in one of the best public schools in the nation ~ so I can compare the two.
I got a great education in the private school as far as language/vocabulary/reading/writing/creativity/arts ~ however I was shafted out of quality science, math, and technology instruction.
Both of my children are in public school and I would never dream of sending them to a bible school – Sunday school covers it!
Typically, bible schools are taught by everyday people without training. I have 2 bachelor’s degrees and am working on a master’s degree (which is required in my school district). All of my degrees relate to education/teaching, which is NOT required in private school settings.
My brother has his children in a catholic school (although they are not catholic) because their local school system stinks…so I guess it depends upon where you live.
As far as what colleges think…I don’t think it matters to them unless you are planning to attend a religious university or train to be a minister/preacher or whatever.
