Byblos, Labanon is considered to be the oldest continuously populated city and may date back as far as 5000 BC.
Jericho in the West Bank is also considered to be the oldest civilization. In its present location, it only dated back about 3400 years, but it (the city) is believed to have derived from settlements that date back to 9000 BC.
