That happened to me, too.

Unfortunately, sometimes people just can’t sleep. It doesn’t mean you’ve got a problem, like insomnia.

Try to relax. Are you excited or worried? Make sure you’re all packed and ready to go two days in advance, so that you’re not rushing to get everything done the day before school.

Listen to some relaxing music, either before bed or when you’re in bed. Try to focus on things besides school.

Again, don’t stress out when you can’t sleep. You’re young enough that it won’t hurt you to be a little sleep-deprived. Just wait until college!

I do this- stay up all night the night before. Then on your last day of no school, stay busy so you don’t go to sleep during the day. Now when you get ready to go to bed that night, you should be tired enough. Your mind should be also. This is what most times keeps you up.

Run/Jog –

I know you are just a kid but really, the best way to deal with it is to get your mind off of it. Run with enough time to relax 1 hr before bedtime. Read a book. .. Stay away from anything that is going to lift your metabolism. Don’t eat anything with sugar or carbs.

A glass of wine will do it. It will make you very tired and you’ll sleep right away, If your parents catch you, you may get spanked and will cry yourself to sleep on your stomach!

Either way, it works and I know from experience!
