University of Phoenix Online… it’s a bonafide, honest to goodness school – accredited and everything. My employer has a contract with them to provide Undergrad degrees and quite a few folks from work have taken advantage of it. Many were skeptical at first but soon found that it takes real work to pass and get a degree. It’s not one of those schools where you pay $250 and they mail you a diploma in a week.

The most reputable online degrees are earned at real brick-and-mortar colleges with longstanding reputations in higher education.
The University of Maryland, Penn State University, Indiana University, University of Ilinois, University of Washington, Michigan State University, and even Stanford, Columbia and Cornell offer courses online. It’s called “distance education.”

Who doesn’t? Posters on YA who think what they do is the same as what an online student would do? There are about 10 really very good, very intense programs. Online students have to be disciplined and have to want an education as opposed to a piece of paper.

I attend the University of Phoenix. It is a very respected school and I know has a lot of partnerships with major corporations. I work for a division of PepsiCo and work with many people who have attended or are attending the UoP.
