Non-traditional student housing?
How does one go about requesting housing on & off campus? Does non-traditional student housing cost the same as dormitory housing? Also does anyone have any experience with living in these facilities?

Usually, the school has a Housing Office through which one submits an application to live in a dormitory or university-owned apartment. Yes, there is usually some non-traditional student housing, which used to be called married student housing. Off-campus housing is different. Usually, off-campus housing is not university-owned, so you’re on your own for that. Usually, one takes on-campus housing through the Housing Office one’s first year, then one might get off-campus housing the next year by going through “Roommate Wanted” and “Apartment for Rent” ads on the bulletin boards at the student union or college center.
