Need information about ultrasound techs in SC.?
I want to become an ultrasound tech and want to know if anyone knows how good Midlands tech’s ultrasound program in SC is? is it hard to get into? Also, if you live in SC, around the columbia or lexington area, if you could tell me what the pay is like around here?

For what it sounds you are interested in studying you aren’t going to find a better program in South Carolina. I think if what you are interested is a career as an ultrasound technician that Midland is a good school for you.

The only accredited school located in SC that I could find is this one:
Greenville Technical College – Greenville , SC

I am in CA, so I have no idea how close that is to you. If the school at Midlands is not accredited, do not waste your time. In order to take your registry boards, you will need a whole year of work experience in the field of ultrasound. And, you will have a hard time finding someone to hire your if you are not licensed. Don’t waste your time or money on a program that is not accredited. Best wishes to you!
