need a quote?

I need a quote for a paper about things not always being as they appear or a siuation being different than it seems, or any quotes that are similar. I also need a website where the quote was found. I have been looking forever for one and I have not been successful so I would really appriciate any help! thank you!

How about this line from “H.M.S. Pinafore,” the operetta by Gilbert & Sullivan:

“Things are seldom what they seem.”

The song goes on to give a number of examples:
