Nothing. You sit and wait. Remember ~ you are on the governments time now!

Have you sent the application in? Did you send the appropriate information and fees? Is there a way to apply over the internet and pay your fee with a credit card? Hope this helps a bit, if not try sending your application as a next day post.

Awaiting application sounds like you didn’t complete and sign your application online. If you complete and sign online – my lender let me sign with my Dept of Education PIN – then it only takes a short period of time to turn around. Awaiting certification means something else – so if that’s what it says, then your school needs to certify with the lender.

I would say check with the lender, so if you are missing any information, they will tell you.
