Most definitely. A career counselor will help you to figure out what you’re good at, and will help you to decide what you’d like to study in college. Also, when the time is right, he or she will get you through applying to college (usually with fees waived).

It’s definitely a good thing. Your sister is looking out for your future 🙂 You’re very lucky!

It’s not a bad idea, but you really don’t need to get set in any particular career path right now. You have so much longer to figure out what you are interested in! So don’t pigeon-hole yourself, but it will be good to hear all sorts of options that are out there. In the end, it’s up to you and only you what you do when you decide to pick a career.

Your sister is concerned about you because a career counselor is the beginning of your success. You’ll be helping other people direct their lives and you can proceed to law after and still you’ll be helping many people who are unjustly treated and are taken for granted. Go ahead and good luck!

They will sit down and talk to you, review your school records, may give you some tests and then tell you what they think you should be looking at for possible employment. Mine told me I should think about being a carpenter because “I really doubt you’ll ever amount to much”. Her husband worked on one of the assembly stations in the company I owned before I sold it and retired.
