My daughter wishes to try to be a flight attendant. She has epilepsy and we’d like to know if this would be a
flat NO or not. It is under control with meds of course. Wouldn’t that be discriminating? Thanks-

You would need to show a medical record saying that she has epilepsy. See if you can get a copy from her doctor. Also she can get the job if its under control like you said. But the risk is if she missed on of her meds and she could lose it on the plane. It depends on if they want to take that BIG risk for her. I wouldn’t tell her no. Just say maybe until you get info.

I have epilepsy and i work for an airline not as a flight attendant but they cannot not hire her for that reason if it is under control and her doctor would allow her to do the job then by law they cant not hire her for that.
