If it just a recent problem, it could be merely due to a simple sore throat – for which any qualified physician can prescribe a suitable medicine.
If the hoarseness has been there for several months, and keeps increasing with each passing day, then it could probably be due to throat cancer – which only a specialist can diagnose and treat.
…If the hoarseness has always been there in her voice, it will probably be an inherited genetic trait – for which there is no permanent remedy.
But, if your aunt can make a conscious effort to speak in a softer tone, at a low volume, the hoarseness can then be minimised to a considerable extent.

If it is painless, yet she looses her voice over the next few days, it is laryngitis and she need antibiotics.
