My 5-year-old have IQ test with a psychiatrist. Can someone recommend any book?

She’s all prepared for the test that psychiatrist will do to confirm that if she can go to magnet, gifted schools. But I want your help. If someone please tell me any book, so I can prepare her more? I’ll be grateful.

Raising IQ: Help Your Children Reach Their Full Potential by Nancy Lu is a great book. It’s designed to help you, as a parent, to stimulate overall intellectual growth in your child. It will not only help with your test preparation, but also help in your continued efforts to strengthen your daughter’s abilities.

There are many books out there with titles like “Test your child’s IQ” etc. These are notoriously bad for gauging your child’s IQ, but if you ignore their scoring system, they are wonderful for preparing your child for professionally administered tests. The key is to expose your daughter to a variety of tests. Your goal should be to make her comfortable and confident with the format. Focus on tests that emphasize memory and pattern recognition.

Good luck.

if she is gifted she doesn’t need a book. If she isn’t gifted and you prep her she will have a very hard time keeping up with the real gifted kids if she gets in . Let her be, because you can do her more harm than good.

No. She needs to be accepted BECAUSE she is really gifted not because she was coached.
