MLA documentation question. TV shows?

I’m metioning the animated television show Ghost in the Shell in my paper on stealth technology. Do I need quotes or do I just underline it? Also…do I need to add a source to my works cited? As in, do I need to find a source that confirms the use of camouflage in this anime? Or can I mention the show without citing anything?

The TV show should be underlined (or italicized, depending which you’re using), and you must add this to your works cited. You don’t need to find an additional source anymore than you’d need an additional source ‘proving’ that a journal article you read said something. If people don’t believe you they can (as they would with any other source) check the source.

Works cited format is (for MLA):

Purrrfectly Wild. Prod. Felix LeChat. Felis Broadcasting Service, New York. 25 Sept. 1999.
