Middle School……….!!!?
Bookbags or back packs? What are the locker rooms like? About how much homework will there be (for someone in advanced math and in french)? And i’ve been hearing from some people that you have to run 2 miles every day in P.E……..

1. bookbags v.s back packs. the style that most people use will differ from shcool to school, but i would stick with which ever one YOUR more comfortable with. that way, it’ll be one less thing to worry about on ur first day. if u notice that the one u choose isnt what most kids have, u can always say, “my mom/dad thought this packpack/bookbag would be perfect, and she/he was just SET on getting this. my parents can be really controlling sometimes!”
2. like fashion/style, the locker rooms are different in every school. most will have a few shower stalls, but trust me, most of them arent a very “clean” place. even tho theyre showers. lol. i cant imagine a school ever requiring a student to take a shower, so dont worry about that. there should be plenty of lockers, and u may be assigned a specific one. but if ur more comfortable changing where there are less people in a more secluded part of the locker room, go for it!
3. homework should be pretty light for the first week. there will be lots of paperwork to take home to your parents and have signed, but that should be it for most classes. and congrats on advanced math! in middle school, math is used a lot more often in science, so it’ll help to be ahead! =) im not sure about french *ive always been a spanish speaker* but in general, the foreign language teachers will start of VERY easy with homework. no matter what your skill level. after the 1st week or so, u’ll start to get more and more home work. but probably not as much as the elementary school teachers say.
4. im not sure who’s been telling u that u have to run 2 miles everyday in PE, but theyre either (a.) lying or (b.) lying. gym teachers know that its unhealthy to make a student, or any person, start off running 2 miles. thats a very hard work out for someone who doesnt run regularly. u will probably have to run a mile a couple times tho for testing. it usually counts as a grade, but as long as u finish the mile run in a reasonable time for your skill level and give it some effort, u’ll get a good grade. PROMISE! =)
u’ll probably be nervous no matter what on your 1st day, bt u’ll get the hang of things within 2 weeks tops! and if something embarrassing happens, remember that it happens to everyone.
**i went to a wrong class for half of the period and didnt realize it! i had to walk thru the halls all alone and explain to my REAL teacher why i was late in front of the whole class!**
GOOD LUCK! if u have any more questions, post them and i’ll find them and answer! =)
Advice: Don’t make enemies with your teachers, at least act confident whether you are or not (works wonders believe it or not), and DON’T make friends with the 7th and (especially) 8th graders because they will always hate the younger students (they’re the oldest, Royals, then they’re is seveys, and finally you the pixies!). Use “Always Ariana’s” advice as far as making friends by age (but you can be friend’s with more people than you think in 7th). Assuming you don’t know anyone there already, try to make two or three really good friends right away and you will naturally make more later. I’m just saying don’t be just buds with everyone, this will kill you. Oh…this isn’t really advice, but the administration (principal, assistant principal, counselors, etc., usually suck.
If your a 6th grader blend in and stick to your grade
If your a 7th grader talk to who you know
If your a 8th grader talk to as many people as possible
P.E. is easy and the most likely place you’ll meet new ppl and make new friends (mainly for the mutual dislike of your coach haha) and you only run that much once in awhile but mainly you either play around in the gym or go outside and do a sport (just follow through with what the coaches instruct and you’ll be good)
Homework is easy if you pay attention to the lessons at the begining of them so you’ll know what to be focused on ~ you only get an hour length of homework in jr.high (advanced or not)
Backpacks: bring one…but keep your textbooks in your locker unless you Need them because they do get forgotten and your teachers will NOT accept that without a decent rub in your face
Locker rooms in middle school are usually squared and small but keep a lock and get dressed in the locker room unless alot of ppl do it in the bathrooms
Oh and the lunch lines aren’t as long as they look
You dont use the locker rooms much in sports except to change your clothes and maybe take a shower.
In advanced math you have a lot of homework than regular math and I dont think there is french.
You only run 2 miles if you sign up for track and cross-country. Other sports are baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and if your school has a pol, swimming.
The locker rooms are nice but you usually don’t even use them, just to change your clothes.
There will be a lot of homework probably but that is school!
No, I doubt you will run 2 miles in P.E. When I was in middle school we just played basketball, volleyball, or kickball or some other sport and it was really fun!
you will be fine!
im a freshman,
Bookbags are better….The locker rooms really depend on what school your going to…threre usually ok…I didnt have alot of homework mainly studying. i’ve never heard of you having to Run 2 miles in PE..
Dont Worry yourself to death calm down you will be fine
Lockerrooms are ok, but its not like you will be in there a lot.
And homework. At first it will feel like a lot, but you will get used to it very quickly.
And no you dont have to run 2 miles every day. usually like kickball, and that kind of stuff.
