Is UCLA easy to transfer into?
I know I can get at least a 3.5 GPA at community college, but I still am nervous about acceptance.

Oh dear, great question!! I love UCLA, I’ve wanted to go there since……. a lot of time but I’ve felt weird about it because it is expensive and I’ve heard it is had to get into, only 24% of all applicants are accepted… so now I have other options. We are pretty much in the same situation, I’m in a CC and I know that by the end of Fall 08 I could have a 3.5 GPA, I say that at least 3.0 but I could make it higher and I am nervous already about my 1st option school. If I was you, no matter what, I’d apply… the worst can happen is a rejection letter BUT… one random day you could get a nice envelope in your mail with a nice acceptance stuff inside 😉
Thanks for asking, I am interested in this too ^_^
Good luck!!!! 😀

If you are hispanic or black, it is very easy to transfer to. I know a Mexican girl who could barely maintain a 3.0 GPA, failed her last math class the semester before she was going to transfer, and she STILL got into UCLA.
If you’re white or asian, i’d say you have a decent shot, depending on your major. If you’re a liberal arts major, you probably have a good shot. Bio sciences or engineering, probably reduced chance of getting in.

ive heard, this year is the hardest year for students to transfer, even with excellent grades becuase there are so many ppl transferring. try to find something about you that distinguishes you from the rest of the million applicants. and its true that if your hispanic you’ll get in easier.
