Not in the United States unless you have a green card. Every form that you fill out in college requires a social security number or a J or F Visa number. This applies to admissions and financial aid.

No way. All universities require your ss# so that they know who they are giving a degree to and so that it can be tracked. There is no way to even get federal aid. Your ss# gives you your indenity to make you unique to anyone who may have anything in common with you. You may have the same first name or last name but you cant have the same social.

Yes, you can.
You go to college, pay too much, and when you get your degree you can’t get a job related to that because you don’t have a SSN.
