The United Kingdom consists of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom is also known as Great Britain. Its called the United Kingdom because the countries are all united under Queen Elizabeth

England is one of the countries that make up the United Kingdom. The others are Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The United Kingdom (UK) is also known as Great Britain (GB) and people who live in any of the four countries are know collectively as British people.
