Is there a good verb to describe the motion of someone turning a cartwheel or a somersault?
One of my characters is trying to describe the experience of being picked up by a force that turns him upside down and right side up repeatedly. At first I have him say “I was spinning around.” But he wasn’t rotating on his axis so I don’t think spin is the proper word. What would you say?

cartwheeling mebbe? in a non axial spin perhaps?

How about: “I was being hurled and centrifugally thrown.”
