Is the University of South Florida a respected school???

What you should do is figure out a general idea of what you would like to study, then apply to universities which offer the best programs in that particular field and also related fields. University of South Florida has top-notch medical programs (doctoral and nursing), engineering programs, and education programs. Their College of Business Administration is also very well-respected within the area and many of the programs within the College of Arts and Sciences are worthwhile as well. I think the Religious Studies program at USF, last I heard, is one of the largest Religious Studies programs in the American university system.
Good luck with your applications!
It is a member of the Big East Conference and has an enrollment of over 40,000.Those are some pretty good pluses.
The Big East is a major sports conference and no pretenders are allowed. That may seem to be a strange way to guage a school, but keep in mind that to be in a major conference,it takes some major money.
The money and attendence must be there to have schools play against them. They have it or they would not be in that league.
While it may not be on par with Florida or Florida State,it is an up and comer and it is no joke.It will eventually be on thier level, merely by virtue of its sports league. It is inevitable that they will knock heads and compete in most areas for students.
Florida is in the SEC,Florida St is in the ACC and South Florida is in the Big East. Are you kidding? It is a natural competition and it has the makings of some really good games.
