I found taking online classes to be more difficult, and I’ve seen a lot of people do a lot of damage to their GPAs by taking them.

The problem is that it’s difficult to stay focused/keep up with the class. Most people just aren’t responsible enough to stay on schedule with the class. If you could do a combination online/classroom program, that would be better.

Typically financial aid will cover online classes, but check with the school’s fin aid department to be sure.

As far as signing up for classes, most schools have some sort of class registration system on their website. Call the school to be sure.

The school (I assume we’re talking about a community college) probably has an online orientation course, or a one or two day on campus course.

I believe that it can be both hard and easy. Some classes can be a breeze while others took allot of studying to master (like calculus). I currently attend Colorado Tech University – Online and I LOVE IT! I am able to attend live online lectures if I chose to but if I do not or am unable to I can view a recording of the live lecture when I want. In the lecture, all of the students that are attending are able to hear the instructor speak and view a slide presentation. If any of the students want to ask questions there is a chat box for us to do so and the instructor answers our questions out loud. It was ten years before I returned to school (online college) and the difficulty level has been about right, not to hard but not to easy. The beauty of not having to pay for gas to get back and forth to school is an extreme importance due to the increasing gas prices and the ability to finish school in a shorter time is even better. I started in May of last year and only have had a few week breaks all together and I will be done with my associates degree (majoring in accounting) in August of this year. Another plus for online college is you would not have to worry if your going to be shot by another student or if there was a bomb.. I would highly recomend online schooling! Good luck!

The first time I took online classes, It was alot more difficult to get motivated to do any work..you know how many ways there are to get side tracked on a computer? From your home? Anyways its convenient..so if you are disciplined enough to keep on task, then they can be a bit of relief..not having to get up and actually go to class..theres also an issue of if you need help, you may have to wait a few days before you can get it..finacial aid will pay for online classes just like regular classes, also you sign up for them the same way as you do regular classes..most of the time, the way it works..is the teacher sends you stuff to do/read..you do it and send it back.

sometimes it is easier online. you just have to make sure and keep up with your assignments, because it can be easy to get behind. If you know what specific school you want to take them from, then either register online with them or go up to the school and register yourself.
