Is it hard to get accepted to a UK university as an American?

I was born in Edinburgh, but I’m not a citizen. I’m planning on applying to U of Edinburgh.

I am an American with a 4.35/4.0 GPA and will have taken 7 AP courses. I have many extracurriculars for violin, soccer, and triathlon, but I don’t know how important ECs are in the UK system.

Do I stand a chance at admittance?

You are an excellent candidate, but it is because of your AP courses rather than the ECs. Good luck, you will probably get accepted. Where Americans have a problem is where they lack APs to substitute for UK A levels.
