Is it grammatically correct to use “as part of this project” or “as a part of this project”?

In a sentence that reads “The current process for storing a address in the systems will not change as part of this project.”. My question is it accurate to say “as part of this project” or “as a part of this project”. My understanding is that since project is a noun, it’s more appropriate to use an article, in this case it’s “a”. I am somewhat challenged on use of articles.

AS PART of this project

you dont need a because part here is not a subject.

and “a part” sounds like “apart”.

To me the sentence doesn’t make much sense but i would go with as a part of this progect and also change (a address )to

(an address)

As part is fine, but you would be”storing AN address”. Hope this helps.
