Is it better to be a General Nurse in the Air Force, or not?

I want to know if it is better to be in the Air Force being a Nurse, or better out of the military. Does it pay better in then out? Will it be better for me in the long run? I am also a homosexual which might be an issue in the military..if I tell them. What should I do?

I was a laboratory officer in the Army Reserve and have known and served with many nurses. I think the military is a great life for someone, especially if you not married. You will meet a lot of wonderful people, get a chance to travel, and you’ll have responsibility and authority you would never have in a civilian job. Most importantly, the work you do will matter, really matter.

You should not tell anyone that you are homosexual. As long as you don’t discuss it or practice it openly, you will not be discharged. I have served with several people that I either knew or suspected were gay and they were all excellent soldiers. My best friend in my last unit was a lesbian female officer (a nurse anesthetist) and I was proud to serve with her. She was always very professional and kept her private life private.

If you get an international undertaking and are unmarried, you’ll transfer ever two years. Married it’s each three-four years. You can take depart and take journeys whilst your boss approves it, like typical together with every person else. Yes there are vegetarian pleasant MRE’s. They are in each case, probably two in keeping with field I consider. Also the eating corridor has lots of exceptional meals. Yes there are bases at Italy and Germany, each are GREAT places. France, no. England, sure. Edited: And you’re right, the AF treats you larger and treats its persons larger. And the mentality is better then different offerings. As you’ll see by means of Bo Jangles reaction. You requested reliable questions, he comes again with an Army reply. Edited once more: OH MY GOD JEEPERS IS A GOD DAMN MORON. Every day I see him on right here giving the worst solutions on the planet. If he did not rip-off the approach and vote for his possess solutions, he could have zero pleasant solutions. What a ***** moron.

If pay is your only criteria, check out the difference in pay and perks between military and civilian jobs. On the other hand, if you want more than just a paycheck, the Air Force will give you more. Travel all over the world is the perk that would lure me in.

It is better just to be a General. Then you can get rid of the homophobia in the military.

Added later…if you are a male nurse in the Air Force, they are going to label you as gay anyway. I would stay clear of the Armed Forces. The stress of hiding who you are is not worth whatever perks there may be. It is an outdated, testosterone-loaded, bias-ridden dinosaur of an institution based on conformity, not individuality.
