No, you must get your bachelors degree in accounting before you become a CPA. Each state has different requirements to sit for the CPA exam and to then get a license. Some states require graduate level work while others require experience. If you are interested in pursuing your CPA license I recommend you contact your state’s board of accountancy (they all have websites) and check out the particular requirements you would have to meet.

you may want a minimum of a bachelor’s degree to be eligible to sit down for the CPA examination. So no, the CPA isn’t considered a bachelor’s degree. it relatively is a certification which you will earn when you meet the minimum academic standards. the particular academic standards depend upon your state. If the only thoughts given at your college are the three you indexed, you will desire to choose #a million if acquiring a CPA license is your purpose. If that software does not meet the kind of accounting hours required on your state you will would desire to take further training or exchange universities so as which you will enter a software it is greater concentrated on accounting. See the hyperlink below for greater thoughts.

You are required to take the CPA test AFTER you get your degree…so, no, its not the same thing. That would be like getting a Law Degree but never taking the Bar Exam to become certified/licensed in the state you intend to practice in.

No. After you get your education, you will have to find employment in the field–make sure your employment will qualify–for maybe 3 years, but you will have to check the requirements in your state. Then, you take, and pass, a test. Very possibly a background check, too.
