Is boarding school for bad kids???

NO! Neither is it for rich kids, or kids whose parents don’t want to deal with them. Boarding school is just another schooling option, which yes does look good on a college application because of all the opportunities you just can’t get at public school. You can be sure they aren’t for bad kids because if you were you wouldn’t get in! There are a few programs or boarding schools for troubled kids but not any of the ones you would look at. It’s also cool to go to a boarding school because there are people all around the world (probobally including your roomate.) And you don’t have to just see your family on the holidays (although we do get off for an extended time.) Try a school thats only an hour away or less and then do 5-day boarding or regional boarding and leave when you want or stay. You don’t HAVE to wait until you get a laptop because most schools have many computer labs open all the time. Think of it as a non-stop sleepover with your friends plus many old traditions and great memories! Meet all sorts of people, take a language they don’t have at most other schools, and take a different sport like ice hockey or somthing! Boarding school is highly reccomended by me!

Boarding School For Bad Kids

Boarding school is not really for rich or bad kids. Some times the parent doesnt know how to take care of the child. Or mabye the school that he/shes attending is really far away.

Boarding school actually isn’t really bad. It teaches kids to live on there own.

The preference should be public school since at a public school a student is exposed to a wide variety of individuals which would more closely resemble the variety of individuals a person will deal with in life. Although boarding school can create social connections among the elite it gives a student a false sense of the real world and makes them too insulated from real people and the real world. Save your money choose the real world, not the false world with yacht clubs and coming out parties.

No, i dont think so. I think most people send bad kids to private schools because they can be disciplined there. Boarding schools are more likely for rich kids or kids who have busy parents…..but you never know…..

Not necessarily. But I have heard of one boarding school that’s a school for the juvenile corrections department. In other words its a school for bad kids. We play them in football and played them in basketball.

I have not been to one yet but I can assure you it is not for bad kids. its sometimes quite exspensive though most likely up to 20,000 dollars!! you do have a dorm in most boarding schools probably with a roommate. My dad said he is taking me to one he says it is 40,000 $$ but he says its cause ive been bad, ive looked it up on google, and I actually want to go!! it seems VERY fun, but then a gain you will miss your family and close friends, but you don’t have to stay but its fun to sometimes. they let you go for the holidays and summer if you like to . trust me you will love it there, most boarding schools give you laptops, and if not you can always go to the computer rooms that are always open so you can surely email your friends and family back home! im sure your asking because your going to one , or want to , but I hope you have fun!!

I don’t think it is. You can defintily see your family,but only during the summer and holidays. Why do you want to go to a boarding school just to e-mail your family?
