I graduated from I.B., now I’m at Harvard. It may seem challenging, but it really isn’t. For me, all I had to do was take notes and study. Just listen in class, do your work, finish on time, and (most importantly) study! Don’t let the upper class-men tell you to drop out, they just couldn’t handle all the work. I did it, and it raised my chances of Ivy Leagues (well, just a little =/ )
Anyway, along with the classes you have to take the I.B. tests. Some are fairly simple, others not so much. Don’t take tests you don’t have to take, that will just add more to the stress of test week.
I.B. gives you more chances and opportunities for your future. I thought it was a great experience, and look where it took me!

I completed IB and now am at Columbia, and it prepares you with opportunities and tools for whatever you decide in the future. It is a hard adjustment initially, but it is the preparation for the examinations, which comes easy if you work hard. The examination in English, 2nd language, mathematics, and science may seem daunting , but it is all time and effort too. In terms of the research papers in junior year and the final papers sent out, there are manageable if you stay dedicated. This sounds preachy, but I don’t mean it to be. It also depends on your high school, so that is a factor to consider. If you were good enough to get in, you can most definitely succeed. Hope it helps. Good Luck!
