If you took it “tonight” that means you took it online. Online IQ tests are notoriously unreliable. Since 100 is the average IQ score and you scored slightly below that, I am almost certain that your internet IQ is not the “real deal”. Sometimes they give you a low (but not too low) score on purpose so they can try to sell you something to “improve” it, so don’t take it seriously. Just a scam. Real IQ tests are administered by trained psychologists in office settings during office hours, and even they only measure one of the seven intelligences. I had a student who was rated with a low IQ and it turned out to be because he was an English language learner. When they measured his spatial awareness, he scored at the genius level. Just goes to show.

Age has nothing to do with IQ. The tests are adapted for people of different ages. If your IQ is 94 now, your IQ will be around 94 for the rest of your life unless you have some sort of accident or illness that affects your mental capacities.

The average IQ score in the Unitied States is 100. A score of 94 is a little below average. You have an IQ higher than about 37% of Americans.

…But that is only true if you took a real IQ tests with a psychologists. Online tests are not accurate and should not be fully trusted.

Well I have 3 things to say.

1. If you took an internet IQ test, there is no way they can be certain of your time because of the time it takes to transmit so these tests are completely unreliable.

2. A 94 is an average score, like 90% of the US population is anywhere between 85-115. Hence, you are average.

3. An IQ test cannot be compared with age. Your IQ does not fluctuate (unless you are too young to understand an IQ test). A test taken when you are 13 should be the same as when you are 65.

The normal range for an IQ is 85 to 115, so yes, 94 is a good score. You can probably do most every thing your typical person would do such as become a teacher or business person. College will really help strengthen your thinking skills. You can go to a community school, state school or perhaps a non-competitive private school. Best of luck to you.

Remember that IQ scores vary with the test, so you may be higher or lower than this.

Average IQ is deemed to be 100. While on-line “tests” are fun, they MAY not be a true reflection of your actual IQ (though, I must say, I’ve taken online tests twice and they were perfectly accurate when compared to a “real” IQ test I was given).

You CAN increase your score by sharpening your mind – READ (not comic books), LISTEN to your teachers, STUDY, LEARN, ANALYZE, do Logic Puzzles, be CURIOUS, ask QUESTIONS. Developing the LOVE OF LEARNING will take you a LONG way.
