Interior Design School: Where to start?
Favorite Answer
Almost all schools have tuition costs listed on their websites, so I would check sites for schools you are interested in for that.
If you are looking for pros for going to school for interior design… alot of states require a license to practice interior design(I think TX does, not sure though). Also, you will want to sit for the NCIDQ exam(National Council for Interior Design Qualification). NCIDQ requires 6 years of combined college level education and work experience(usually 4yrs school, 2yrs work) to sit for the exam. I would say that is a pretty good pro for education!
I’ll give you some links that I found helpful:

http://www.accredit-id.org/ – Council for Interior Design Accreditation
http://www.asid.org/ – American Society of Interior Designers
http://www.careersininteriordesign.com/index.html – Careers in Interior Design.. good site for a glance at school and work in the industry, also has links to other good sources.
Good luck in finding the right place for you!
