Well, since you want to balance sports and school, and you have two practice sessions before your get home at 5:45, it looks like you should be devoting a good chunk of time to studying between 5:45 and 10:00.

3.71 is not a bad GPA at all, but it’s good that you still want to improve. The work does not get easier as you get older, so you will probably have to start studying for a few hours a night.

Because you are very tired after practice, you probably want to do something relaxing for a little while right after you get home. And then after a little while yyou can buckle down and do some work.

I am done with high school and college, so my biggest advice to you is it’s never too early to start planning for college. I see you already have apsirations of going to UCLA, which is great. But don’t be afraid to look into other schools, even if it is just to compare. Go on campus tours, talk to current college students, advisors and faculty. For example, if you family goes on a vacation to someone else in America, set aside part of one day to visit a college that you normally wouldn’t be able to visit. Just find out as much as possible about all your options. Also, look into different career paths. One of my biggest regrets is not knowing much about a lot of careers that I would have liked, but just didn’t know much about. Talk to different people about their careers. For example, talk to you a police officer if you might like law enforcement, talk to an engineer if you might like engineering. Find out the positives and negatives about each career, etc.

Sorry to ramble, but I wish someone would have told me those things when I was younger. I just went with the flow and didn’t really plan anything out. Don’t be like me. Figure out your options and then set yourself up for success! It’ll pay in the long run. GOOD LUCK!

From experience, I say take the classes that will get you admitted to UCLA and also get your gpa up. I say take the AP european history, spanish 3 and the math. You need those to get into college.
