1. getting a tutor of some sort. I do not think that there any online sites that will offer help for free. Your can try and Google “homework help” or just ask people here on yahoo for answers.
2.Sometimes on the back of your school text books there websites that you can visit if you need help in that particular subject.
The best solution…
3. Talk with your teachers and explain to them that you want to learn as much as possible and succeed in their class. I know for a fact that teachers admire students that are not afraid to ask for help it just shows your willingness to learn. Other things you can do to make an impression are read ahead, keep up with your homework and try and turn things in early before the due date.
Eventually, the true source that guarantees factual information is the LIBRARY. Don’t rely that much on the internet, unless you want to search for things that is concerned with current events, trivial facts, etc. For subjects like Math, Science or English, there’s nothing more effective than consulting a real textbook and appreciate it everyday. And reading English novels as a hobby is also a good way to be good at English! No doubt about it!
Another suggestion, you can start improving your English right now if you’ll refrain from typing texts informally here in the internet. As much as possible, don’t try to shorten/misspell any word. If you don’t break the habit you’ll carry it over on a formal writing once you get much used to it.
First: Breathe. It’s gonna be OK. Have confidence in yourself.
Second: Btlfannz has a point. Grammar, spelling, and all that stuff is critical in any subject. You still have to write papers for history and geOgraphy and the sciences.
Third: There’s always going to be a review to be sure that you recall last year’s lessons. Besides, this is SCHOOL where you LEARN. They don’t expect you to know the material before you ever go.
Fourth: As was previously suggested, the public library is the single best place to start. Not only do they have the aforementioned facilities, but most have free Internet access as well.
So relax. It’ll be fine. Promise.
And btw, I admire your eagerness to learn…
