If you find you have prejudices against other people, how do you go about changing them? Is there a film?

It was a news documentary from CBS I think about a teacher in the Mid West who divided her class room into blue eye and brown eyed students.
One day the BLUE eyed students were the good ones, the smart ones, the BROWN eyed students were bad, stupid and inferior.
Next day she switched it.
This film is from the late 1960s
It was amazing to see how the little chidlren in her class room turned on each other over this “eye color” concept.
It was a very bold and controversial teaching stretch.
A friend of mine would speak to the girl (or guy) with the purple spiked hair and multiple piercings and say, “Oh my gosh, I love artsy people, how do you get your hair to do that?” The demeanor of the purple-haired person would usually change to a big smile and they would explain how they spent time making each piece of hair into a jagged point. My friends prejudice had long since gone and she had made a new friend, and also made them feel special.
Prejudice is an aweful thing. Six-millon jews died in the Holocaust because lies were told and people believed them. Human being were de-valued to the level of vermin so that is was believed that mass extermination was the right thing to do. Schindler’s List is a wonderful movie dealing with this topic.
Prejudice can also be religious. The crusades were cleverly disguised as a quest to reclaim the Holy Land from the Infidels. Now the Islamist Extremist call anyone except those exactly religious like themselves the Infidel. Infidels are faulty in their very being (like vermin) and so, it is a rationale that they should also be exterminated or blown away with a car bomb.
If you can ever get to the place in believing that all people are the same and that no particular group, or nationality, or sexual orientation or age group, are better or worse than any other, then you will have gotten rid of your prejudice.
Good luck in your journey.
In order to change prejudice people they need to be educated about the people they are prejudiced against. It all comes down to being ignorant and close minded.
We all have prejudice in some way shape or form and the only thing that changes that is when we know more about what we are prejudiced about we change our views and are able to move away from it.
The more you understand and learn about people that are different than you, the less ignorant you will be towards those people and the less prejudice you will have because you will have learned that they are people just like you and you should take each person as an individual, not as a group.
I would try reading. Read about this topic from all angles. Look up to see what people of different races have contributed to the success of this country. Look up every race: Blacks, Caucasians, Asians, Hispanics, etc. Read why people are racists, an interesting book is Hitler’s Youths.
Another interesting topic to read is interracial marriage. Learn what other people are saying about this topic and form your own opinion.
I would watch the History Channel if you prefer the films.
Prejudice is not racism.
“I hate stupid people.”
