If I cannot get to work on time because of a traffic jam I am still late. My students who arrive late are marked tardy regardless of the reason. If they had a doctor’s appointment then their tardy is an excused tardy.

If the appointment was a doctor excused appointment and the doctor excused with a doctor’s excuse you then no you should not be marked late, otherwise technically you were late and it was unexcused….

If you turn a Doctors note I c no way that you should…….just ask the doctor to give you one
